PRIVATE CLIENT SOLICITOR 3YRS+ PQE – COWBRIDGE

This is a rare and exciting career opportunity for a talented 3+ Private Client Solicitor to join us. We are a well-established, friendly and successful Award Winning Practice with offices in Cowbridge, Cardiff and Chepstow.

Our well-regarded and thriving Private Client team have a strong reputation. The team were shortlisted for Private Client Team of the Year at the Wales Legal Awards in both 2022 and 2023. This outstanding team has expanded over the past few years and we would like you to be part of the growth and future of the Private Client department, building on and maintaining the client base.

The Private Client team provides a broad range of services including bespoke will drafting, probate and estate administrations, deputyship applications, trusts, Powers of Attorney, Probate disputes as well as court of protection matters.

The ideal candidate will be:

· 3yrs + PQE

· Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge

· Forge and nurture strong client relationships

· Experienced in using Case management systems

· Be an effective communicator, capable of handling sensitive matters with professionalism and courtesy

· Comfortable conducting networking and business development activities

· Able to demonstrate experience of managing a broad private client (wills and probate) caseload

Salary will be dependent on experience between £35,000 to £50,000 and 33 days holidays (including Bank Holidays) with genuine scope for career development and progression.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our secretarial and admin team. The post holder will provide an excellent administrative service to enable the delivery of an effective, efficient and timely service to our clients, other parties and the HL team. 

If you enjoy communicating with people, are a good team player with excellent oral and written communication skills, and have a willingness to contribute to positive team working, we would love to hear from you!

Main duties of the job

  • Working as a Legal Secretary/Assistant
  • Experience with transcribing audio files and written notes is essential
  • Knowledge or experience in Residential Conveyancing is desirable
  • Familiarity with using a legal case management system is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Maintain client files in accordance with agreed standards and processes
  • Produce legal documents as directed by Solicitors and Directors
  • Perform additional tasks as required by a Legal Secretary in a busy legal environment
